About MentMate
MentMate exists so that the fear of being seen never stops someone from getting help. Most people who need support never ask for it — because someone might find out. We built an app where that risk simply isn't there: anonymous by default, not as a setting you have to find.
How the anonymity works
No real name. No phone number. No photo. When you open MentMate you get a random alias and an animal avatar — that is all anyone ever sees, including counsellors and pharmacists. Your mood entries and reminders stay on your device. Community posts and live rooms are anonymous end to end.
Who it's for
MentMate is built for university students and young professionals — and for anyone who wants to talk, track how they feel, or get treatment without other people finding out.
The barriers we built around
Stigma
The strongest reason people don't seek help is that asking is visible. MentMate stores nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing to be seen.
Access
Professional help is scarce and unevenly spread — most of the world has far too few providers, concentrated in a few places. MentMate connects you directly to licensed counsellors for real-time chat and video, wherever you are.
Medication exposure
Collecting psychiatric medication in person carries real social exposure. The integrated e-pharmacy lets you order, consult a pharmacist, and pay online — the order arrives under your alias.
